Informed Consent: The Women's Right to Know Act
Under the Women's Right to Know Act of 2005 all women must be provided access to certain information 24 hours prior to an abortion, except for medical emergencies that place woman at risk for death or organ malfunction. This Law is required for all pregnancy terminations performed in the State of Georgia. Please go to http://health.state.ga.us/wrtk/ and read the Women's Right to Know Consent.
If you are 17 years of age or younger, the State of Georgia requires Parental Notification, which means you must have a Parents consent to terminate your pregnancy also one of your parents must accompany you to our office and remain with you at all times. The Phone Counselor will instruct you, please have your parent with you when you call to schedule.
